Energy Saving Process Valve Series VXE
SMC Pneumatics is dedicated to producing products which are environmentally friendly. The new VXE solenoid valve incorporates a coil with a Pulse Width Modulation circuit which reduces power consumption to less than 35% of a standard coil. Typically power consumption of a valve using a standard coil is 4.5W with the PWM coil this is reduced to 1.5W. A 10.5W coil power consumption is reduced to 3.0W. The main benefit from using the new VXE solenoid valve is cost savings which are maximised when energizing times are greater than 200ms. In continuous duty situations the coil delivers maximum energy efficiency and cost savings. As a direct result of the reduced power saving the heat generated by the coil is drastically reduced by up to 50% A typical process valve coil can have an operating temperature of up to 45°C whilst the VXE coil with the Pulse Width Modulation circuit operates only up to 25°C. The VEX valves are available in 6, 12 and 24VDC. The VXE coils can be retro fitted to standard new series VX direct acting valves, VXD pilot operated and VXZ zero pressure differential valves.
